Sales Assistant

The inside Sales Assistant will help our business development/sales representatives fulfill the primary
functions of their jobs. The Sales Assistant will be responsible for finding potential client leads and
maintaining an accurate database of clients and prospects. This position will assist with presenting
information to prospective clients and scheduling appointments for the sales team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain a current, accurate database of prospects and clients within company’s CRM system
  • Research and qualify potential sales leads and gather information that is useful for business
    development outreach
  • Input data into company’s CRM system
  • Create and manage contact lists (or Tearsheets) in company’s CRM system for sales and marketing use
  • Schedule meetings between prospective clients and business development/sales representatives
  • Prepare reports, documentation, charts, and other tools necessary to effectively convey activity and results
  • Assist with pre- and post-event follow up for industry events and conferences attended by business development team
  • Provide clerical/administrative support to the sales and marketing teams as needed

Other Responsibilities

  • Required to meet weekly or monthly to report on performance
  • Follow-up with prospective clients to provide additional product/services information as needed
  • Attend industry-related trade shows, luncheons, happy hours, conferences, sponsorships, and
    events as needed


  • Bachelors’ degree in Business/Marketing/Advertising/Communications or related field
  • At least 1 year of experience working in inside sales or related role
  • Self-motivated with a high level of energy and passion
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple project at once
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with MS Office Suite and CRM system experience a plus
